Before children (B.C.) Jon and I had an import business, a vegetarian restaurant and catering business, and oversaw an ashram and temple. We traveled internationally and helped with relief work in India.

Now with young children I was writing and illustrating children’s books, and Jon was teaching and recording his music. We were thrilled to be pursuing our artistic passions, but our artistic pursuits and projects were getting expensive.
